Dale Pribanic's Obituary
Dale A. Pribanic, 66, of Lorain, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2009 after a heroic battle of 10 months against brain cancer.
He was born in Lorain, on December 13, 1942 to Matthew and Josephine Pribanic. Dale was a 1960 graduate of Lorain High School and a graduate of The Ohio State University.
He recently retired from a 45 year long career with PolyOne Corporation, formerly BF Goodrich Chemical, Geon Vinyl Division. His position as Director of Molding and Market Development provided him the opportunity to travel the globe.
Dale was a member of the Sandusky Yacht Club and enjoyed relaxing on his boat with family and friends. As a lifelong Ohio resident he loved spending his spare time with his family vacationing from the beaches of Florida to the Arizona desert mountains. As a dedicated animal lover, he enjoyed feeding the squirrels and birds in his backyard.
He leaves to cherish his memory, wife of 45 years, Bonnie (nee Heyslinger); daughters, Deborah (Jon) Knechtly of Loveland, Ohio and Tamara (Ken) Mason of Anthem, Arizona; grandchildren Cole and Rylie; father, Matthew Pribanic ; and a host of other loving relatives and friends. Dale was preceded in death by his mother, Josephine (nee Citak) Pribanic.
Family and friends may celebrate Dale's life on Friday, October 2, 2009 from 3-8 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1100 Cooper Foster Park, Amherst.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday October 3, 2009 at 9:45 a.m. in the Funeral Center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. at Nativity BVM Church, 418 W. 15th. Street, Lorain. Rev. Father Robert Glepko will officiate. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
