DaLeisha "Nicki" Cochran Bell's Obituary
DaLeisha Nicole "Nicki" Cochran Bell of Lorain, Ohio, gently passed from this life early Easter Sunday, April 8, 2012.
She was born May 1,st, 1976, in Weston, WV, to her loving parents, Roy and Pamela (Igo) Cochran.
She was welcomed to Heaven by her dear cousin, Billy Foster, her dear grandparents, Billy and Chrystelle Bowen, and her precious great-grandparents, Sebert and Clara Lucas.
As a child, Nicki attended First Baptist Christian School, Open Door Christian School, Amherst Public Schools and The King's Academy. As an adult, she became a certified medical assistant after attending Sanford Brown Institute.
Nicki enjoyed her time of working with the American Red Cross. She especially enjoyed blood drives in mid-Ohio, where she met and talked with many women of the Amish community, sharing recipes and learning their home remedies.
She also enjoyed working for a time in her own small bakery business, "DaLeisha's Delights", specializing in childhood favorite cookies, as well as recipes of her own creation.
Nicki was a voracious reader. She enjoyed decorating her home and writing in her journals. She loved her cats and her dogs, all of whom were rescue animals from the APL. She truly enjoyed visiting with her nieces, Riley Lynn and Devyn Faith Kranes of Avon Lake, and Taylor Goffee of North Ridgeville, and her nephew, T.J. Goffee of North Ridgeville.
Most of all in life, Nicki loved her precious son, Donovan Jacob Bell.
She leaves behind her dear sister and brother-in-law, Jessica and Terry Goffee, of Avon Lake, and her beloved grandparents, Dallas and Charlotte Igo of Glenville, WV, and Roy and Donna Cochran of Vermilion. Also grieving her loss are her aunt, uncle and cousin, Peni and Stephen Clark, and Hannah Clark of Northfield,CT; aunt, uncle and cousin, Christy Igo, Dave Dennis and Amanda Igo Dennis of North Ridgeville; uncle, aunt and cousins, Stephen and Lynn Igo, and Lucas, Jonathon, Matthew, Lydia and Marcus Igo of Hudsonville, MI; aunt and uncle, Debbie and Les Palmer of Vermilion; uncle and cousin, Richard Cochran of Vermilion and Alicia Cochran of Elyria; and aunt Ilona Cochran of Lorain, Nicki's extended family in WV includes great-aunts and uncles, and many cousins, who also sorrow at her passing. She will also be greatly missed by her best friend, Laura Dever.
Visitation will be held at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 4:00 – 6:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation. Services will be conducted by Nicki's dear uncle Stephen Igo, MDiv., Pastor of Cedar Church Orthodox Presbyterian in Hudsonville, MI. Nicki's parents, Roy and Pamela Cochran, will also share memories of their daughter.
A second service is planned for Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Sand Fork Baptist Church in Sand Fork, WV, for Nicki's extended family and friends. Burial will follow in the Sand Fork Cemetery.
