Daniel Lee Hall's Obituary
Daniel Lee Hall, age 82, of Lorain, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at Amherst Manor Nursing Home. He was born on June 1, 1942, in Doney, Kentucky, to John Mitchell Hall and Dakota (nee Newsome) Hall.
Daniel dedicated his career to construction, becoming a proud member of the Laborers’ Union Local 758. After 30 years of hard work, he retired in 1996, having built a legacy of craftsmanship and dedication. His love for the outdoors was a constant throughout his life—whether it was playing pool with friends, hunting, fishing, or simply enjoying the beauty of nature. Daniel also had a passion for cars, not only owning numerous cars but wrenching on them as well. His personality was larger than life, and his infectious energy made him a friend to all. He was outgoing, kind, and always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh.
Daniel is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Judith (nee Areford); his daughters, Tamara Lynn Hall and Tracy Lee Hall; and his cherished grandchildren, Michael Dane Hall, Luis Nash Hall, Daniel Lee Hall, David William Goodell Jr., and Semaj Lee Taylor. He also leaves behind his great-grandson, Noah Michael Hall; his brother, Doyle Hall; sister, Sally DeLeo; and many nieces and nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Curtis Hall, Genevieve Hall, Jerry Hall, Geraldine Hall, and Shirley Stumbo.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. A funeral service will follow immediately at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral center.
