Daniel Zelina's Obituary
Daniel Brian Zelina, age 45, of Lorain, passed away on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 at the Cleveland Clinic after a brief illness.
Daniel was born on October 6, 1964 in Amherst, Ohio . He was a 1983 graduate of Lorain High School where he was a member of the band and track team.
Daniel had previously been employed by Meijers grocery store and WalMart in Sandusky as a Customer Associate. He was an avid sports enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, of Sandusky; daughter, Trista Williamson; step-children, Lori, Ashley and Darin; one grandchild; parents, Daniel G. Zelina, of California and Karen Chawansky (nee Fitch), of Sheffield Lake; maternal grandparents, Louise and Bill Moran.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Keith T. Fitch; paternal grandparents, John and Margaret Zelina; great-grandparents, Helen and Herb Boughton and Katherine and Ted Fitch; aunts, Laurie Moran and Tracey Cooksey.
A Memorial Prayer service will be held on Saturday December 19, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst,Oh. 44001. Rev. Fr. Lawrence Martello, Pastor, will officiate. Private burial will be held.
