David Emery's Obituary
David A. Emery, age 64, of Lorain passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021. He was born on April 28, 1956 in Limestone, Maine to Donald and Loraine (DeCare) Emery.
David was a graduate of Elyria High School. For 35 years, he made his career as a chef and manager in the restaurant industry. The Ramada Inn, Denny’s, and Country Kitchen were the restaurants that he worked at for most of his career.
He enjoyed going to Church, cars, and cooking. His greatest love was the time spent with his grandchildren.
David is survived by his children, Scott (Victoria Bischof) Emery, of Oberlin, Becky (Martyn) Eskins, of Burbank, OH, and Katie Emery, of Lorain; grandchildren, Alana Eskins, Aundriana Emery, Jason Emery, Kaleigh Emery, and Logan Emery; brother, Jerry Emery; and his sister, Linda Bryant.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 27 years, Dana M. Emery, in 2012; parents, Donald and Loraine Emery; and his sister, Cathy Emery.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 5:00 -6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral &Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 6:00 p.m. in the funeral center. Private family interment will take place at a later date.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral home will be following specific guidelines to ensure the safety of all visitors. We ask that you enter through our main entrance of the funeral center, please pay your respects to the family, and exit through our gathering center door. Face coverings are required, limited seating will be provided for the service to ensure that a six feet separation is maintained.
