David J. Lowery's Obituary
David J. Lowery, age 79, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at UH Elyria Medical Center. Born on November 21, 1945, in Sumter, South Carolina, to Bernard and Mildred (née Comrie) Lowery, David moved to Elyria, Ohio, at a young age and called it home for most of his life. In 2022, he relocated to Sheffield Village.
A proud graduate of Elyria High School, Class of 1963, David went on to work as a dedicated sheet metal worker and journeyman with Local 33. His strong work ethic and skill left a lasting impact on his trade and those he worked alongside.
David had a zest for life and a passion for the outdoors. He found great joy in golfing, fishing, and spending cherished time with his family—especially during treasured visits to Kelley’s Island. His quick wit, warm presence, and love for his family will be deeply missed.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia (née Yearly) Lowery; his daughters, Stephanie Boggs of Amherst and Michelle (Tracey) Mullins of Elyria; his grandchildren, Page Tucker, Rebecca Mullins, and Jeffrey Mullins; and his great-granddaughter, Rylie Tucker. David is also survived by his sister, Marie Mowcomber of Elyria, and brothers, Dennis (Joanne) Lowery of Elyria and Mike Lowery of LaGrange.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved grandson, David Mullins.
Family and friends are invited for food and fellowship at a Celebration of Life on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Elyria American Legion, 393 Ohio Street, Elyria.
