David S. Mason's Obituary
David S. Mason, age 54, of Vermilion passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 17, 2013.
He was born on March 9, 1959 in Lorain, Ohio to Ken and Nancy (nee Petrosky) Mason and was a 1977 graduate of Admiral King High.
David was employed by Ford Motor Company as an assembler for 30 years. He was a member of the Sons of Amvets, whose mission is to aid and support our nation’s veterans. Knowing the importance of blood donation he was a frequent blood donor. Hunting was a passion of David’s, especially hunting deer and squirrel. He also was a huge fan of the Cleveland Indians. His children were his greatest love.
He is survived by his daughter, Jessica Mason, of Fairview Park; son, Tim Mason, of Cincinnati; parents, Ken and Nancy Mason, of Lorain; brother, Greg (Tonia) Mason, of Olmsted Falls; nieces and nephews, Kat, Amanda, Nick and Shaun Mason; and numerous cousins; and former wife, Christina Harr.
The Mason family will receive friends on Sunday, December 22, 2013 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where closing prayers will be said on Monday, December 23rd. at 10:30 a.m. followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at the Church of St. Peter, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain. Rev. Fr. Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
