David James Naelitz's Obituary
David James Naelitz, age 31, of North Ridgeville, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, September 27, 2020 at UH St. John Medical Center, Westlake.
He was born on August 29, 1989 in Elyria and has lived in North Ridgeville for 4 years. He earned his Bachelor’s degree of Science in Computer Science & Engineering this year from the University of Toledo. David proudly served his country while enlisted in the United States Army from 2010 until 2014, where he was a construction mechanic. He then began his career at Enerco, in 2015, as a lead programmer, where he currently worked.
David enjoyed cooking, programming, watching movies, and just recently got into wood-working. He also enjoyed attending the men’s prayer breakfast group with his dad.
He was a loving and devoted husband, beloved son, incredible brother, and a friend to everyone who knew him. He is an uncle, cousin, and nephew and everyone loved him dearly. He is survived by his loving wife of 10 years, Amanda I. (nee Ortega), his parents; James Mark Naelitz & Elaina (nee Fleming) Hamel, brothers; Steven Vitas, Alex Naelitz, and Herbert Hamel, his sisters; Kateland Robinson and Michaela Hamel, and his grandparents; Jeannie & Vic Ceja.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 2, 2020, from 4:00 pm until the time of his veteran military honors service at 7:40 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral home will be following specific guidelines to ensure the safety of all visitors. We ask that you enter through our main entrance of the funeral center, please pay your respects to the family, and exit through our gathering center door. Face coverings are required, limited seating will be provided for the service to ensure that a six feet separation is maintained.
