David A. Pullins' Obituary
David Arnold Pullins, 70, of Lorain, Ohio, rode into the sunset on his Harley on April 15, 2026. He was born on January 26, 1956, in Lorain to the late Melvin and Pearl (nee Schwartz) Pullins. A lifelong resident, David carried pride and grit throughout his life, serving his country honorably in the United States Marine Corps before retiring from Watteredge in Avon Lake.
David is survived by his wife Verna Pullins; children David A. Jones and Joseph A. Puls; stepchildren Mike Cobb and Candi (Dee) Haines; many grandchildren; and sister Janet (Stanley) Tobicash.
He found his greatest joy on the open road, riding his Harley with the wind at his back, a sense of freedom in his spirit, and not a worry in sight. When he wasn’t riding, David could be found tinkering with small engines or stepping in as the neighborhood “Mr. Fix-It,” always ready to lend his time, presence, and hand to anyone in need.
The family would like to thank Admirals Pointe Nursing Home, Southern Care Hospice, UH Seidman Cancer Center, Lerner Towers University Hospital, and Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center for their compassionate care and support during David’s illness.
The family will receive friends on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 6:00 p.m. at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001.
Though his final ride has come, the road he traveled and the lives he touched will continue, may he ride free and easy, forever with the wind at his back.
