David Stransky's Obituary
David Stransky, age 62, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Mercy Regional Medical Center after a sudden illness.
He was born on March 29, 1949 in Lorain, Ohio to Adolf and Anna (nee Tomasic) Stransky. David was a 1967 graduate of Admiral King High School, and upon graduation went on to further his education at Lorain County Community College earning his Associates Degree. He lived in the Polacca, Arizona area for 17 years.
David was employed as a mechanic for the City of Lorain for about 15 years.
He was a member of the NRA. David had a passion for motorcycles, from riding to working on them. He also enjoyed restoring cars.
David is survived by his brothers, Adolf (Sandra) Stransky, of Palatine, IL, Don (Marianne) Stransky, of Lorain and James Stransky, of Brownhelm Twp.; sisters, Phyllis (Bernard) Krzys, of Valley City, OH, Diane (Greg) Long, of Glen Ellyn, IL and Carolyn (Tony) Campana, of Lorain and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adolf Stransky, in 2002 and Anna (nee Tomasic) Stransky, in 2004.
The Stransky family will receive friends on Friday, November 11, 2011 from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:30 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Fr. John C. Retar, Pastor of St. Frances Xavier Cabrini Parish, will officiate. Private family inurnment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Lorain County Food Bank: Second Harvest Food Bank, 7445 Deer Trail Lane, Lorain, Ohio 44053.
