David R. Zudell Sr.'s Obituary
David R. Zudell, Sr., 85, a lifelong resident of Lorain, passed away Monday, February 8, 2021, at Mercy New Life Hospice in Lorain. He was born on October 18, 1935, to the late John and Mary (Hronec) Zudell. After serving in the U.S. Army in radio operations, David returned to Lorain to begin his career in television repair. He owned and operated Dave’s TV for more than 40 years. David enjoyed fishing and hunting with his family and his dogs, exploring flea markets, and fixing old bikes. He was a member of St. Peter Parish in Lorain.
David is survived by his children, David (Doreen) Zudell Jr., of Vermilion, Sandra (Randall) Jenkins, of Parma, and Michael Zudell, of Atlanta, GA; dear grandchildren, Jessica (Michael), Gittinger, Melissa (Marc) Fuerst, and Drue, Danielle, and Darcie Zudell; cherished great grandchildren, Dalton, Emma, Xander, Finnley, and Charlotte; and nieces and nephews.
He was proceeded in death by his siblings, John, Joseph, Daniel, Henry, Paul, Phillip and Irene (Banks) Zudell; and a son, Matthew.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 12, from 4 to 7 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. His funeral service will take place on Saturday, also at the funeral center, at 10:00 am. For those unable to attend, services can be viewed online at YouTube, on the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center YouTube page. Burial will follow in Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst. We ask that you enter through our main entrance of the funeral center, please pay your respects to the family, and exit through our gathering center door. Face coverings are required, limited seating will be provided for the service to ensure that a six feet separation is maintained.
