Deanna Gallagher's Obituary
Deanna Gallagher, age 65, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on February 27, 1961, in Lorain, Ohio, Deanna was the beloved daughter of Donald and Cleo (née Null) Case. She graduated from Admiral King High School with the Class of 1979.
Deanna was known for her strong work ethic and determination. Throughout her life, she worked in a variety of occupations, beginning in manufacturing in Elyria before finding a second family working alongside Len DeLuca at DeLuca's Place in the Park, both in the bakery and at the restaurant on the lake. No matter where she worked, Deanna was admired for her dedication, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand.
Life's greatest joys for Deanna were found outside of work. She loved riding on her Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Michael, taking shopping trips to Amish Country, and traveling whenever she had the opportunity. The beach was her favorite destination—a place where she felt most at peace and happiest. Above all else, however, Deanna treasured the time she spent with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved creating memories with them that they will cherish forever.
She is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Michael Gallagher; her son, Joshua (Jennifer) Case; her cherished grandchildren, Cheyenne (fiancé, Philip) Case, Joshua Jr. Case, Jasmine Case, and Savannah Case; her sister, Brenda Case; her lifelong best friend, Michelle (Mike) Stock; her beloved Basset Hounds, Homer and Hank; and her grand-puppies, Rocky and Buster.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Cleo Case.
The family will receive friends on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
Private interment will take place at a later date at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Rittman, Ohio.
Deanna will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering love for her family, adventurous spirit, and the warmth she brought to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed, her love and the countless memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those she leaves behind.
