Deborah Lynn Maurer's Obituary
Deborah Lynn Maurer (nee Curtiss), 69, of Elyria, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on November 30, 1955, in Lakewood, Ohio, to John Sr. and Eileen (Masterson) Curtiss.
Deborah dedicated 33 years of her life working alongside her husband at their successful family business, Maurer's Door Service, Inc., where she served as the Vice President of Operations. She took great pride in her work and valued the relationships she built throughout the years.
In her free time, Deborah found joy in caring for her beautiful Koi fish pond, attending classic car shows, and cherishing the companionship of her beloved Great Dane dogs. She will be remembered for her kindness, passion for animals, and love for her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 48 years, Robert G. Maurer; daughters, Nacole Maurer, of Amherst & Renae Pankratz, of Elyria; grandchildren, Brianna Maurer, Jadyn Brockmeyer, Jersey Brockmeyer, Brooklyn Brockmeyer, Caliber Pankratz, Gauge Pankratz & Wylder Pankratz; great grandchildren, Aubree Morrow, Lennox Morrow & Roman Ortiz; and siblings, Daniel Curtiss, of Alto, TX, James Curtiss, of Sullivan, OH, Robert Curtiss, of Tomball, TX & Matthew Paine, of Wellington, OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Michael Curtiss.
