Denise M. Keron's Obituary
Denise M. Keron (nee Bober), age 72, passed away peacefully after a brief illness on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at the Justin T. Rogers Hospice Care Center in Akron, Ohio. Born on May 19, 1952, in Lorain, Ohio, Denise spent most of her life in her hometown, with the exception of 18 cherished years living in New Mexico.
A 1970 graduate of Lorain High School, Denise went on to further her education at Lorain County Community College and Cleveland State University. She spent much of her career working as the Chief Executive Officer for The National Association of Realtors. She also enjoyed her time employed at Lorain County Community College and SWAIA in Santa Fe, NM.
Denise had a deep passion for the arts. A talented artist herself, she found joy in creating and appreciating beauty. She also had a great love for music and enjoyed traveling to new places. Her heart held a special place for animals, especially dogs, who she adored and cared for deeply.
Her legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will be remembered by all who knew her. Denise will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the many lives she touched.
She is survived by her daughter, Robin M. Cook, of Kent, sister, Peggy Asensio, of Lorain, niece, Deb Purvis, of Lorain, nephew, Danny Asensio, of Lorain, her aunt, Norma Pacl, of Hermitage, TN and her former husband, Tom Keron, of Avon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph J. & Bernice M. (nee Eglinski) Bober and her brother-in-law, Dan Asensio.
