Denise Lurry's Obituary
Denise Lurry (nee Pierantozzi), age 59, of Lorain passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014 at her home surrounded by her loved ones after a long hard fought battle with cancer.
She was born on July 10, 1955 in Avon Lake, Ohio to Joseph and Jane (nee Christner) Pierantozzi. Denise was a 1973 graduate of Avon Lake High and went on to further her education at Ohio Business College earning an Associate’s Degree in Business.
Denise was employed as an office manager with Coca-Cola, in Elyria for 27 years. She loved the beach, gardening, traveling, and sporting events. She really loved watching her children play sports.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Kelvin; daughters, Stacie Starr, of Lorain, Gina Lurry, of Lorain and Kayla Lurry, of Lorain; grandson, Carlos Lopez; brother, Joseph Pierantozzi, of Avon Lake; sisters, Linda (Bruce) Neiding, of Avon and Diana (Richard) Collier, of Amherst; niece, Lisa (Mike) Bramhall; and her dear friends, Renee and Leatha Carde’.
Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Jane Pierantozzi.
The Lurry family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 from 4:00- 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst where funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 28th. at 10:00 a.m. followed by interment at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
