Denise Antoinette Seymour's Obituary
Denise Antoinette Seymour, 63, passed away on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain. Born on February 4, 1961, in Amherst, Ohio, Denise was the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Angela (nee Imbroscio) Niehart. She graduated from Marion L. Steele High School in 1979.
Denise had a fulfilling career, beginning at Howard Johnson's Restaurant and later working for Amherst City Schools in the cafeteria. Her final place of employment was at Elyria Memorial Hospital, where she served in the hospitality and dietary department until her retirement in 2013.
She enjoyed traveling, especially cruises, and had a fondness for handbags, particularly from Gucci and Coach. Denise also loved trying her luck at casinos and staying busy by selling on eBay. However, her greatest joy came from being a grandmother to her cherished grandson, Logan.
Denise is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, David Seymour; her daughters, Danielle (John) Karaplis, and Devin Seymour; her adored grandson, Logan Karaplis; her parents, Bill and Angie Niehart; and her brothers, Chris (Patrice) Niehart, Tony (Shelly) Niehart, and Larry (Sarah)Niehart.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst. Private interment will take place at a later date.
