Dennis John Mendosa's Obituary
Dennis John Mendosa, age 70, a lifelong resident of Lorain passed away on Friday, October 7, 2022 at his home after a sudden illness.
He was born on September 23, 1952 in Lorain, Ohio to Sacarias and Consuelo (nee Segovia) Mendosa. Dennis was a 1970 graduate of Admiral King High School. He retired as a Supervisor from the Lorain County Detention Home in 2017.
Dennis was an avid Cleveland sports fan. He was a true family man that loved his family dearly and found enjoyment just sitting on his front porch and back deck.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Juanita (nee Rodriquez) Mendosa; children, Dennis S. (Rebecca Gutierrez) Mendosa, Angela (Nicholas Fontanez) Mendosa, and Nicole (David) Geary; grandchildren, Izaiah Mendosa, Isabell Mendosa, Natalie Mendosa, Anthony Tobicash, Zachary “Fat Boy” Tobicash, and Dominic Geary;Brothers, Joseph Mendosa, Gregory (Jorgann) Mendosa, and Perry (Debbie) Mendosa; and his sisters, Johna Mendosa, and Lucy Miranda.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Sacarias and Consuelo Mendosa; sister, Pamela Mendosa; and his uncle, Lawrence Mendoza.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 13, 2022 from 3:00 – 6:30 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 6:30 p.m. in the funeral center.
