Dennis Shamine's Obituary
Dennis Shamine, age 69, of Lorain passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at New Life Hospice.
He was born on May 29, 1947 in Lorain, Ohio to Michael and Mary Shamine and graduated from Admiral King High School in 1965.
Dennis made his career as an Engineer with Bendix. During his time there he was the recipient of numerous patents.
He enjoyed traveling and going to casinos.
Dennis is survived by his brother, Michael Shamine Jr.; sister, Donna Kapucinski; brother-in-law, Julius (Suzanne) Toth; nephews, Brian (Cindy) Toth, David Shamine, and Keith Kapucinski; nieces Karen (Art) Borbollas, Heather (Chris) Russo, Kristen Koester, and Leanne Kapucinski; and numeraous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by the love of his life, Diane M. (nee Toth) Shamine, on November 23, 2014.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Rev. Danny Parsons will officiate. Interment will follow at Brownhelm Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made in memory of Dennis to Mercy New Life Hospice, 3500 Kolbe Road, Lorain, OH 44053.
