Dewey Braden's Obituary
Dewey Braden, age 83, of Lorain and formerly of West Farmington, Ohio passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at Mercy Regional Medical Center in Lorain. He was born on May 21, 1939 in Speedwell, TN.
Dewey had a long and successful career as a welder, working for several companies throughout his life. He retired at the age of 55 in 1994 from Mason Structural Steel Company in Cleveland.
In his spare time, Dewey enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being outdoors. He attended Warren Baptist Temple Church. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Dewey leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Betty (nee Boscarello); son, Rodney Braden; daughter, Sue Holt; granddaughter, Crystal (Tom) Hysell; great-grandchildren, Logan, and Mason Hysell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Francis Braden; 3 brothers; 5 sisters; and his son-in-law, Dave Holt.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4th in the funeral center. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
