Diana L. Lewyckyj's Obituary
Diana L. Lewyckyj (née Greene), age 68, of Vermilion, passed away peacefully at Mercy New Life Hospice on Saturday, February 15, 2025.
Born and raised in Lorain, Diana was a 1976 graduate of Clearview High School. In 1978, she married her beloved husband, the late Alexsander Lewyckyj, and together they built a life in Vermilion before she returned to Lorain a year ago.
Diana dedicated many years to the Vermilion Farm Market, working in the Produce Department, sometimes assisting at the cash registers. In her younger years, she worked at Freezer Queen, where all of her siblings were also employed at various times.
A member of St. John the Baptist Ukrainian Church, Diana found joy in bowling, cooking, and hosting gatherings for her loved ones. She loved watching the Lifetime, Food Network, and Hallmark channels and enjoyed traveling and shopping. Above all, she cherished time spent with her beloved family, especially her beloved nieces & nephews.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her siblings, Raymond Greene, Jr., Debbie (Steve) Lenhart, Brenda (Landon) Stroup, Terri (Tony) Grooms and James Greene. She is also survived by her loving nieces and nephews as well as her great nieces and nephews, including 2 of her great nephews who knew her as “Nana.”
She was preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Alexsander Lewyckyj, parents, Raymond and Betty (nee McKinney) Greene, a brother, David Greene and a sister, Nora Lute.
