Diana L. Maderia's Obituary
Diana Lynn Maderia, 79, of Amherst, Ohio, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family following a brief illness on June 13, 2026.
Born May 9, 1947, in Beckley, West Virginia, Diana was the daughter of the late Charles and Clara (née Atterson) Bryant. A 1965 graduate of Admiral King High School, she made her home in Amherst for the past 48 years and was a faithful member of The River Church. Diana was an avid Cleveland Guardians fan who found her greatest joy in the love and laughter shared with her family, especially her cherished grandchildren.
She leaves behind her devoted husband of 59 years, Lawrence Maderia; her loving children, Lawrence (Donna) Maderia, Jr., and Christa Maderia-Pogachar; her treasured grandchildren, Taylor, Landen, Gavin, Logan, Kendall, and Addyson; sisters-in-law Fay Bryant, Patty Klinar, and Cecelia King; brother-in-law Patrick (Carol) Maderia; and beloved nieces and nephews, including Monica Deitz, Chuck Bryant, Trish Neeson, Mary Jo Bryant, and Rick Lawrence.
In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Grace Bryant, brother, Harold Bryant, and her sister, Charlene Bryant.
Private interment will take place at Ridge Hill Memorial Park. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio 44001.
Memorial contributions may be made in Diana’s memory to the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, dedicated to finding a cure for Parkinson’s disease and improving treatments for those living with the condition.
