Diann Capocasa's Obituary
Diann Capocasa, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, left this world on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at the age of 80, surrounded by the love of her family, under the compassionate care of New Life Hospice at her home. Diann was born on September 28, 1942, in Parkersburg, West Virginia, to her parents, Clyde and Ilene (nee Buffington) Watson.
Diann's journey was marked by dedication, achievement, and the warmth of her personality. She embarked on her education at Roosevelt Wilson High School, where she graduated in 1960. Later, she pursued her education in cosmetology, attending the Northern Institute of Cosmetology.
For many years, Diann's charm and dedication graced the jewelry industry, where she worked in sales at Kay Jewelers and Erie Gold and Diamonds. Her remarkable prowess earned her the esteemed Top Sales Performance Award, a testament to her unwavering commitment to excellence.
Beyond her professional achievements, Diann was an avid explorer of life's pleasures. She cherished the thrill of travel, the joy of shopping, the camaraderie of bowling, and the laughter shared over a deck of cards. These passions brought joy to her life and created cherished memories with her loved ones.
Diann's legacy of love lives on through her family. She is survived by her loving husband, Thomas Capocasa, and her children, William (Tracy) Welch of Winter Garden, FL, and Cassandra Leonard of Sheffield Village; grandchildren, Kayla (Zack) Heigelmann, Emily Welch, and Mya Welch, and her great-granddaughter, Lennon Ray Heigelmann.
To honor and remember Diann, the family welcomes friends for visitation on Sunday, August 13, 2023, from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, located at 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 14th at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral center, followed by entombment at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
