Dianna Pagán's Obituary
Dianna Pagán (nee Martínez), age 75, of Lorain, OH, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 22, 2025, after a brief battle with cancer. Born in Lower Manhattan, New York City, NY, she moved to Lorain at the age of 12. She earned an associate degree from LCCC in nursing and began a career of compassion sprinkled with tough love. She was a dedicated nurse, first serving at St. Joseph Hospital and then in the school system in Lorain. However, she was equally known for her nursing outside the workplace, helping random people in emergencies, caring for neighbors in need, and telling her family what was medically and non-medically wrong with them, always with love.
She loved her four siblings dearly all her life, cherishing her time with them. She also loved just as fiercely the family she married into, finding soulmates that stuck with her to the end. She was an avid adventurer who enjoyed traveling afar with both family and friends. She enjoyed her weekly excursions with the "Tuesday Girls." She was an exceptional gardener, cleaner, seamstress, cook, and dominoes player.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Ramon and Cecilia Martínez. She is survived by her husband Ramon "Munchie" Pagán, her children Michael (Claudia Lissette) Pagán, Sarah (Scott) Hudson, and Daniel (Christina) Pagán, and six Grandchildren, Casey, Ilse Sofia, Icarus Hudson, Daniel, Aurora, and Xavier Pagán. She is also survived by her siblings Lillian Ramos, Ramon (Mary Ellen) Martinez, Mildred (Frank) Silva, and Milagros (Steve) Hanson.
Visitation will be held on November 30, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM with a service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral Home, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd, Amherst, OH 44001. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, December 1, 2025 at 9:30 AM at Sacred Heart Chapel, 4301 Pearl Avenue, Lorain, OH 44055. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to her sister Lillian's Stroke Recovery Fund.
