Dolores Jenee' Campana's Obituary
Dolores Jenee’ Campana, of Lorain, passed away Friday, November 8, 2013 at her home under the care of Hospice of the Western Reserve. She was born on April 28, 1927 in Dalton, Nebraska to David and Edna (nee Harris) and was raised in Powell, Wyoming.
Jenee’ was known for her tender heart that reached out to others of all walks of life. She and her husband, Patsie C. Campana Sr., together owned P.C. Campana, Inc. and she carried on their passion of helping others through her philanthropic heart that touched many people in their lives. They found joy in helping, especially the people of Lorain County, much of which was done quietly. Jenee’ enjoyed her family most of all and nothing gave her more joy than when they were gathered around her.
She is survived by her children, David Campana Sr., Patti Campana-Manetta (Jim Manetta), Larry Campana Sr. (Cynthia Mikula), Pat Campana Jr., Bob Campana (Lori), Scotti Campana Jr. (Kris); grandchildren, Kristian Campana, David Campana Jr., Marc Campana Goohs, Jenee’ Campana Peters, Larry Campana Jr., Ashley Campana, Kathryn Pope, Patsie Campana III, Maria Campana, Nicola Campana, Mario Campana, Anthony Campana, Lauren Campana, Nicole Campana, Vincent Campana, Talia Campana, Liza Campana and Gia Campana; great grandchildren, Jillian Peters, Jenee’ Peters, Jenna Peters, Ryan Campana, Katilyn Campana, Constantine Campana and Max Campana.
Jenee’ was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Patsie C. Campana Sr., in 1993; parents, David and Edna Hume; brothers, Richard Hume Sr. and Robert Hume.
The Campana family will receive friends on Sunday, November 10, 2013 from 1:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Closing prayers will be held on Monday, November 11th. at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral center followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst, OH. Rev. Fr. Lawrence Martello, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
In Lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in memory of Jenee’ to Lorain’s Clothe-a-Child or to a charity of your choice.
