Donald Joseph Rosso's Obituary
Donald Joseph Rosso born on March 31, 1957, in Lorain, Ohio to Carl Joseph and Pauline (Coté) passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, at Mercy Regional Medical Center at the age of 64.
He was a 1975 graduate of Lorain Admiral King High and went on to further his education earning his Associates Degree at Lorain County Community College. Donald retired in 2009 from Century Tel as a supervisor, after 31 years of service.
Donald was a member of the Community Congregational United Church of Christ in Amherst. He had a talent for painting, drawing and woodworking and enjoyed creating many things. Donald love spending time with his grandchildren and was a kind and generous man who was always willing to help everyone.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years, Marilyn (nee Gelenius); children, Carl (Kara nee Gelenius) Rosso, Tamara Jenkins, Bret (Drema) Markel, Richard (Jennifer) Markel, Elizabeth(nee Markel) (Cody) McGilvray, and Matthew (Allyson) Markel; grandchildren, Brody, Blake, Rylee, Richard, Roan, Rori, Kayleigh, Owen, Kennedy, Eleanor, Gavin, Katelenn, Elizabeth, Aaron, Chelsie, and Taylor; siblings, Gloria Maxwell, Joe (Angela) Rosso, and Denise Rosso (David Adams).
Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Pauline Rosso.
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 1, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral center. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
