Donald Suchey's Obituary
Donald S. Suchey, age 69, of Elyria, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, October 12, 2010 at his residence.
Donald was born on September 13, 1941 in Lorain to the late, Stephen and Lottie (nee Siepietowski) Suchey. Donald was a resident of Lorain most of his life until moving to Elyria about 15 years ago.
He was 1959 graduate of Lorain High School. He enlisted with the Army National Guard of Ohio on October 12, 1964 as a reserve of the Army. He was honorably discharged on March 16, 1970.
Donald earned his Associates Degree from Lorain County Community College. He worked for TRW, in Elyria for over 20 years and as a Real Estate Agent for the Howard Hanna, Avon Lake office for a few years.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Amherst and the Irish Heritage Club in Avon Lake. He enjoyed traveling, puzzles and watching sporting events.
He is survived by his son, Gary (Annemarie) Suchey, of Clermont, Florida and his dear friend, Sharon Matthews, of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Lottie (nee Siepietowski) Suchey and his sister, Dorothy Smith.
The Suchey Family will receive family and friends on Friday, October 15, 2010 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst where closing prayers will be said at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 16, 2010 followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 200 St. Joseph Drive, Amherst, Rev. James Mazanec will be the Celebrant. Interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
