Donna Rebecca Furci's Obituary
Donna Rebecca Furci, age 57, of Lorain, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, following a brief illness, at the Cleveland Clinic, Avon.
Donna was born on May 16, 1959, in Christianburg, Virginia. She attended the St. Joseph’s School of Practical Nursing in 1981, where she was then employed as a nurse for many years, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lorain. Donna enjoyed reading, gardening, music, and caring for her animals. Most dear to her though, was spending time with her family.
Donna is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Richard “Rick” Furci, her daughter, Lindsay (Joseph) Thayer, of Lorain, her son, Tyler (Jessica) Furci, of Amherst, her grandchildren; Regan and Evan Thayer, sister, Shirley (Delano) Poe, of Sheffield Lake, sister-in-law, Catherine (Dennis) DeAngelis, of Lorain, three nieces, and four nephews. She will also be deeply missed by several friends and extended family members.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Jacob Thayer, her parents; Don Sawyers and Novella Wirt, her father and mother-in-law, Anthony “Tony” and Mary Furci, and a brother, Michael Echko.
At Donna’s request, there will not be any visitation or funeral. In her memory, the family will be having a private memorial service.
