Donna M. Jaworski's Obituary
Donna M. Jaworski (nee Shinsky) age 87, of Lorain passed away on Sunday, March 5, 2023. She was born on April 23, 1935 in South Amherst to Stanley and Mary (nee Simic) Shinsky and was a graduate of South Amherst High School.
She lived a full life and had a successful career as a real estate agent for over 40 years with Howard Hanna Real Estate Company. It’s clear that she was very involved in her community, particularly at Nativity BVM Catholic Church in Lorain where she served as the church organist, served on the finance committee, and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She took great pride in organizing the first pierogi sale at the church and continued working the sales for many years.
Donna also had many personal interests such as playing pinochle, doing puzzles, and being and avid fan of the Cleveland Indians.
Her surviving family members who will undoubtedly miss her presence in their lives include her daughter, Janet (Jerry) Duber, of Berea; granddaughter, Allison (Sam) Tomaso; grandson, Michael Duber; sister, Norma (Alan) Schneider; and in-laws, many nieces and nephews, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Jaworski; son, Jerry Jaworski; and her parents, Stanley and Mary Shinsky.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 8, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Nativity BVM Catholic Church, 418 W. 15th. Street, Lorain, Ohio. The Altar and Rosary Society will be praying the Rosary at 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Father Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
