My thoughts and prayers go out to you Fred and your wonderful family. I will miss Dot terribly. The truest most beautiful person and dearest friend I could ever have. I am so lucky to have shared great times and moments with her. Not to mention it was me she beat in the 2008 women’s championship at Oberlin Golf Club. She will always be a true champion in the hearts of us all who were blessed to know her.
I remember riding to and from her niece’s, Heather’s funeral with Dorothy and Her son Fred after meeting them in Flint, Michigan. She made him cover the hood ornament of her Cadillac with a sock at night so it wouldn’t be stolen. And she was a very constant “backseat driver” around Flint. When asked how long she had the car, Fred said something like three days and Dorothy said a year or so. Gave me insight to my husband’s, Rich Krajec’s, side of the family.
Dorothy always showed up to family gatherings for Rich, whether Bob’s family reunion when she and Donna came to West Salem or the various occasions we had for Rich in Ashtabula.
She always had a great smile and was so welcoming. A candle has gone out.

My heartfelt sympathy to Mr. Farschman, Fred, Val, Eric and Sue and all the family. Your mom was a wonderful person and good friend to my mom for all the years we lived across the street from you. I am very sad to hear of your loss. I will always remember Dorthy’s kindness and making me feel welcome at the N Jefferson home. Her gift of creativity inspired many of us as children. She never minded me coming to play with Charmin when I longed for a dog at home.
I am also sending healing thoughts and prayers as it’s so hard with restrictions to loose a loved one to Covid. My heart goes out to all of you.
