Earl E Loar's Obituary
Earl E. Loar, 81, of Lorain, passed away Sunday, December 22, 2013 at Lakewood Hospital following a short illness.
Born July 31, 1932 in Washington Township, PA, he moved to Lorain in the 1950’s.
Earl worked for Ford Motor Company in the maintenance department of the Ohio Assembly Plant in Avon Lake, retiring in 1994 after 33 years. He was a member of the United Auto Workers Union Local 2000 and enjoyed gardening.
Surviving is his wife of 46 years, Sandra (nee Trott); his children, Terri Andrews of Lorain, Michelle (Cliff) Resar of Vermilion, Rebecca (Chuck) Loar-Stottlemire of Lorain, Deborah Loar of Wakeman, Judy (David Craigo) Loar, John (Rachel) Loar of Lorain, Chris Loar and Jimmy Loar all of Lorain; grandchildren, Sarah Andrews, David Andrews, James Andrews, James Loar, Isy Loar, Courtney Loar, Brett Resar, Lyndsey Loar, Savannah Craigo, David Craigo Jr, and Shelby Craigo; a great granddaughter, Sophia Haines; and a sister, Grace M. Hunsinger of Bloomsburg, PA.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaiah Loar in 1972 and Dorothy (nee Schrader) Cox in 1980; sisters, Edith and Margaret “Peg”; and his son in law, David D. Andrews in 2009.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst.
