Faith & family,
So sorry to hear of Ed's passing. I had the pleasure to work with Ed on many football games and many track meets. I learned a lot from him, not only about the rules, but how to work with the student athletes and coaches. And, always enjoyed all of his stories. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. I'm so sorry to hear of Ed's passing. What a great human being. He always said hello to me at basketball or wherever I'd see him. Always had a great story to tell. Did so much for the high school athletes. He will certalnly be missed.
Faith and family,
My wife Janet and I loved Ed and always Faith. He knew how to share a joke and also take care of people. He was a mentor to me as a basketball official and as a man. I don't know why he liked me! He taught me so much about doing things the right way. He came to my Super Bowls Parties and my wife and me to his cookouts on his beautiful farm. He told me he planted most of the trees on his farm-that was a lot of TREES!!! Ed and Faith stayed a couple of days at our new place in the Smoky MTs., we loved entertaining them. I will miss Ed, what a life he led, so many accomplishments. Rest now Ed you deserve it. God Bless and I will see you in heaven-Mike Boyle

I had the pleasure of meeting Ed around 1980. I officiated many football games and some basketball games with him. He treated everyone kindly and it was obvious that he earned the respect of everyone involved. He had great presence.
Sandy and I have great memories of Ed and Faith. Ed was even a better man because of Faith. Humble, funny, thoughtful, caring, engaging, respectful and endearing are just some of the words that come to mind when we think of Ed. It's hard to fathom that he is now no longer with us. Countless lives have been enriched due to Ed Dohanos. We are just two of many.
Faith, thank you for sharing Ed with us. The world is a lesser place with this profound loss. He may be gone now, but our fond memories will never leave us.

It is hard to imagine the total number of young athletes that benefited from the time, efforts, and energy of ED DOHANOS. As a coach, teacher, official, and league director, Ed made the life and athletic participation of so many student athletes a positive experience. More importantly Ed taught me and so many others the right way to treat others. Ed, your life was a true success.
