Edward D. Keller's Obituary
Edward D. Keller, age 80, of Vermilion passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Ames Family Hospice. He was born on February 22, 1941 in Sandusky, Ohio to Lewis Jacob and Germaine Anna (nee Renwand) Keller.
He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was stationed in Germany. He was a member Lorain VFW Post # 451, the AMVETS, and the American Legion.
Edward retired from the Sandusky Ford plant in 1994 after 32 years of service as a Hi Lo Driver. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gambling, and watching Old Westerns.
He is survived by his daughters, Germaine Keller, of Castalia, and Aimee Schilens, of Vermilion; grandchildren Angela Blake, Laura Heishman, Eryn Greenless, Michael Schilens Jr.; great-grandchildren, Anna Blake, Gabriel Blake, Amelia Blake, and Michael Schilens III.
Edward was preceded in death by his wife, Yvonne M. “Bonnie” (nee Greenless) Keller, parents, Lewis J. and Germaine A. Keller; and his brother, Raymond Keller.
The family will receive friends on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral &Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, Ohio. Funeral services will immediately follow the visitation at 12:00 noon in the funeral center. Inurnment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Edward Keller’s name to Ames Hospice House, 30080 Hospice Way, Westlake, OH 44145.
