Eleanor V. Jabbusch's Obituary
Eleanor V. Jabbusch (nee Clontea) of Lorain, age 87 passed away on October 9, 2014 at Einstein Medical Hospice in Norristown, Pennsylvania.
Eleanor was born on December 2, 1927. She graduated from Lorain High School Class of 1946A. She held the position of Class Secretary and was active in planning Class Reunions. Eleanor was employed by Ted Jacobs Department Store in downtown Lorain for 20 years.
Eleanor enjoyed gardening, doll making, and took great pride in her home and loved traveling. She especially enjoyed the many vacations she shared with her children and grandchildren. Her travels took her to Philadelphia, Florida, Las Vegas, and Europe.
Her only times not living in Lorain were a brief career in New York as a fashion model and living in Wallingford, Pa while Harry supervised an office for National Life Insurance Co.
She is survived by her children, Pamela Altman of Ambler, Pa., Cindy (Richard ) Hardin of Peekskill, New York, and Scott (Renee) Jabbusch of Collegeville, Pa., grandchildren Benjamin(Rebecca)Altman, Abby (Jeffrey) Arons, Laura(Marc) Fenichel and 4 great grandchildren.
She is also survived by her best friend and companion Chase Heyman of Norwalk.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Rose Clontea, her husband Harry Jabbusch, and her son-in-law, Steven Altman.
The family will receive friends at the Dovin and Reber and Jones Funeral and Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Road, Amherst on Friday, October 17 at 11:00 .m., followed by a memorial service at 12:00 noon, with a luncheon to follow. Interment will be private.
