Elidia Gall's Obituary
Elidia Y. "Nona" Gall, age 66, a lifelong resident of Lorain passed away Monday, July 22, 2013 at New Life Hospice Residential Center.
She was born on October 30, 1946 in Lorain, Ohio to Catarino and Dora (nee Ybarra) Rodriquez. Elidia graduated from Admiral King High in 1964. Upon her high school graduation she continued her education at St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing earning her LPN in September of 1965. She continued to work as a nurse at St. Joseph Hospital until 1969. Elidia also worked as a window clerk for 18 years for the United States Post Office.
Elidia was an avid Bruce Springsteen fan, traveling to numerous states just to see him perform. She loved the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians and enjoyed attending the games. Cooking for her family and decorating her Christmas tree to perfection brought her much enjoyment. She was a member of "Club Delco", a group a ladies that would meet once a month at a members home for dinner and fun.
She is survived by her daughters, Monica (Jack Hernandez) Gall, of Kearny, New Jersey and Victoria (Corey) Timko, of Lorain; grandchildren, Jordan and Aidan Timko; siblings, Catarino (Janet) Rodriquez II, of Lorain, Elvira (Pablo) Morales, of Lorain, Juanita (Dennis) Mendosa, of Lorain and Theodore (Laurie) Ybarra.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale, in 1976 and her parents, Catarino and Dora Rodriquez.
The Gall Family will receive family and friends on Thursday, July 25, 2013 from 3:00 – 7:30 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral center. Private family interment will take place at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
