Ellsworth "Skooks" Maloney's Obituary
Ellsworth Clarence “Skooks” Maloney, 93, passed away December 2, 2016 at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio.
Ellsworth was born in Lorain, Ohio, February 10, 1923 to the late Elmer and Lucy Maloney. He served in the US Army Air Corps during WW II. He worked 45 years driving a truck for Kuntz and Joyce Moving and Storage.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his family. He also enjoyed reading books and watching Western movies. He always offered a shoulder to lean on and a comforting conversation.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine and his sister, Geraldine.
Ellsworth is survived by his daughters, Judith (Michael) Stefanich and Jill (Kenneth) Edwards; grandchildren, Joseph, Jennifer, and Katie (Doug); great-grandchildren, Hunter, Peyton, Mikah, Maverick, and Evelyn; and his brother, Elmer, of Colorado.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. A memorial service will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center. Rev. Jimmy Madsen will officiate. Inurnment will follow at Elmwood Cemetery, Lorain. Military Honors will be conducted by the DAV Louis Paul Proy Chapter 20.
