Elmer J. Loczi's Obituary
Elmer John Loczi, 98, passed away on Thursday, August 10, 2023. Elmer was a lifelong area resident who was born in Amherst, Ohio, graduated from Lorain High School, and attended The Ohio State University where he was a member of the Track and Field team.
He enlisted in the United States Navy During World War II, serving as a Naval Recruiter. He retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1989.
Elmer loved spending time with his family and pets. He enjoyed the outdoors, feeding the birds and befriended Chippy, the squirrel.
Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Loczi; and his beloved wife, Marilyn Loczi.
He is survived by his children, Daniel (Peggy) Loczi, Diane (Robert) Brandon, and Jennifer (James Heimann); grandchildren, Eric Loczi, and Meredith (William C. Wilson) Loczi.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Interment will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
