Emily A. Jurczynski's Obituary
Emily A. Jurczynski, age 77, a lifelong resident of Lorain passed away unexpectedly at her home on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She was born on August 1, 1943 in Lorain to Luigi and Alfonsina (nee Cornocchia) Valletta.
She was a 1961 graduate of Lorain High School. For over 20 years, Emily worked at US Bank.
Emily was an active member of St. Peter’s Church in Lorain. She enjoyed reading and walking. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, and her family was her number one priority. She was a kind and sweet lady and will be greatly missed by all that loved her.
She is survived by her son Ron Jurczynski; daughters, Diane (Bob) Wolfe and Lynnae (Chris)Harmych; and her grandsons, Devan and Nathan Harmych.
Emily was preceded in death by her parents, Luigi and Alfonsina Valletta; and her siblings, Jesse Valletta, Santa Manzo, and Anita Wigton.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 from 3:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, May 12 , 2021 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, Ohio. Rev. Father Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. (EVERYONE PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the funeral home will be following specific guidelines to ensure the safety of all visitors. We ask that you enter through our main entrance of the funeral center, please pay your respects to the family, and exit through our gathering center door. Face coverings are required, limited seating will be provided for the service to ensure that a six feet separation is maintained.
