Evelyn R. Connell's Obituary
Evelyn R. Connell, 97, of Huron, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2023, at Mill Manor in Vermilion, Ohio.
She was born in Lorain, Ohio on March 30, 1926, she graduated from Lorain High School and was a long-time resident of Huron. She was a lifelong member of the Hungarian Reform Church, Lorain.
Evelyn was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family.
Evelyn is survived by son Marc (Linda) Connell, daughter Kelly (James) Spehar
grandchildren, Amanda (Adam Evans) Connell, Thomas (Katie) Connell, Sheri (Nicholas Kolada) Connell and Autumn (Heather Richards) Spehar, Great grandchildren, Mack Connell, Abbi Evans, and Parker Evans, along with numerous nieces, nephews and other loved ones.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Alfred whom she married in 1946; parents Frank and Rose Chonko, brother and sister-in-law Donald and Ruth Chonko, brother in law and sister in law Tommy and Lily Connell.
. The family will receive friends on Tuesday October 24, 2023, from 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m.at the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd, Amherst Ohio, with interment following at Elmwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. The family would like to thank the staff at Mill Manor, Vermilion Ohio for their compassionate care.
