Faye Y. Manges' Obituary
Faye Y. Manges, age 80, of Amherst, passed away at her daughter’s home on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 after a lengthy illness.
She was born on May 7, 1941 in Painesville, Ohio. Amherst was her “home” for most of her life. Faye worked for many years in assembly and painting for Ford Motor Company before retiring in the late 1980’s. Faye was a devoted member of her church, The Church of Christ, where she attended in Lorain and Amherst. She devoted her time to various activities. The things she enjoyed doing the most for her church were visiting the sick and assisting with vacation Bible school. Whenever she could, she loved reading and studying the Bible. Faye also enjoyed cruising on her Harley, and playing games, her favorite was Pinochle. Faye liked to travel as well and her most memorable trip was a visit to Hawaii.
She is survived by her children, Neal (Charlotte) Rutledge, Jamie McDavid, and Tiffany Lipscomb, her grandchildren, Rochelle and April Rutledge. Shelby (Christopher) Draper, and Jessica McDavid. Lauren Berckbeck, Alexis and Ronny Lipscomb, her great grandchildren, P.J., Leah, and Gina Miller. Brooke and Aubrey Rutledge. Justin and Madison Fortune, her great, great grandchildren, Addisyn and Zahden Fortune, brother, Harold (Eleanor) Lallathin, step-sisters, Vera Mcnabb and Nancy Henry, and many nieces & nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Stella (nee Eddy) Lallathin, a brother, Myron, and sister, Anne Barfield, and grandson Aaron Lipscomb.
