Floyd "Rick" Fluke's Obituary
Floyd Frederick “Rick” Fluke, age 60, of Lorain, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic.
Mr. Fluke was born on June 11, 1950 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Merle and Erma (nee Hammond) Fluke. He graduated from Elkhart High School in Indiana. He moved to Ohio in the late 1970’s.
Floyd was employed by Ford Motor Company in Group 2 Utility and retired in 2004. He was a member of the UAW Local 425. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends and his dog. He loved classic rock and was a dedicated motorcycle enthusiast. Floyd belonged to numerous championship pool leagues.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Tracy Knight-Fluke(nee Hitlan); son, Christopher (Megan) Fluke, of Norwalk; daughters, Kimberly (James) Cornwell Jr., of Findlay, Brenda (Donald) Romell, of Norwalk and Ashley Fluke, of Milan; 2 granddaughters; 3 grandsons; step-daughters, Summer Knight of Lorain and Staci Knight, of Elyria; 1 step granddaughter; sister, Sheila (Doyle) McCauley, of Elkhart, Indiana; brother, Mike (Christine) Fluke, of Olathe, KS; 5 nephews; 1 niece; 1 great-niece; 1 great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Merle and Erma Fluke.
Floyd was truly loved and will be greatly missed.
The Fluke family will receive family and friends on Thursday, February 10, 2011 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. a Memorial Service will follow at 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst.
