Forest Greenleaf's Obituary
Forest “Pete” Greenleaf, age 75, of Amherst, passed away on Friday, March 11, 2011 at home.
He was born in Gassaway, West Virginia on January 8, 1936. He lived in Ohio most of his life.
He served in the US Army.
Pete worked for Ford Motor Company for 44 years and was a Safety Union Representative there for 25 years. He had also worked at Lake Terminal Railroad. He was a member of both the UAW Local 425 and UAW Local 2000.
He was an avid golfer and loved his cats, Bubby and Tinker.
He is survived by his brother, Darius Greenleaf of Sheffield Lake, his nephew, Don Greenleaf, of Vermilion, and his devoted companion and care giver, Clarice Kellogg, of Amherst.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Estie Greenleaf; his brothers, Don, Ron and Russel and his sisters, Della McCormack and Arlene Haller.
His final wishes were to be cremated with no viewing.
The Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd., Amherst, handled the arrangements.
