Frances Braun's Obituary
Frances J. Braun (nee Haas), age 85, a lifelong resident of Amherst, passed away on Friday, March 29, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain.
She was born on February 17, 1928 in Amherst, Ohio to the late Elmer and Marcella Haas. She was a graduate of Amherst High School.
Frances spent many years volunteering her time at Murray Ridge Center, where her daughter Nancy works. Frances became very close with the staff and considered many of them "family". She always received great joy helping those with developmental disabilities.
She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Seighman and Barbara Kobal; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Gerald in 2011; and her brother, Elmer "Jr." Haas.
Services will be held privately for the immediate family.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Rd. Amherst.
