Frances B. Craigo's Obituary
LORAIN - Frances Craigo, 86, passed away peacefully on November 30th surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grace Yates, her father, John Yates, her daughter, Rose Mary Stewart, her granddaughter Renee Neal, her sisters Opal, Laura, Kathleen, Pauline, and Bess, and her brothers Jack, John, and Jim.
Frances was born in Marmet, West Virginia, on February 8, 1929. She moved to Lorain in 1955 and lived there until her death. She was employed in the food service business for many years. She was very creative and loved arts and crafts and candy-making. She was an incredibly talented cook and loved to travel.
Frances is survived by her husband of 70 years, Arlie; five children – Judy Harnish (Jim), Arlene Karnik (Jim), Nancy Allison (Jack), Terry Craigo (Jan Ures), and Berneice Branham (Phil Ray). She leaves behind 20 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Mary June Bragg of Monticello, Florida, and Norma Stanley of Cabin Creek, West Virginia. Frances loved her family deeply and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 4th, at Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral Center, located at 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road in Amherst, for visitation at 11:00 a.m., with the funeral beginning at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow immediately at Elmwood Cemetery located on North Ridge Road in Lorain.
