Frances Romek's Obituary
Frances Romek, age 91, of Lorain passed away Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Autumn Aegis Nursing Home.
She was born on May 29, 1922 in Yukon, PA to Adam and Caroline Olejar. She and her husband to moved to Lorain in 1950 and it has since been her home.
Frances worked as a dental assistant and as a cafeteria worker at Lorain High School. She was a member of the First Catholic Slovak Ladies Association and enjoyed cooking and baking.
She is survived by her daughter, Christine DiFilippo, of Amherst; step-grandson, Anthony (Amy) DiFilippo, of Avon Lake; Great-grandmother of Gabriel and Pierce.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Adam and Caroline Olejar; her siblings; and her son-in-law, Erminio.
Private family funeral services will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH.
