Francisco "Frank" P. Tovalin's Obituary
Francisco “Frank” P. Tovalin, age 90, of Lorain passed away Monday, January 26, 2015 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph.
He was born on October 4, 1924 in Durango, Mexico to Abraham and Elvira Tovalin. Francisco was employed by U.S. Steel, he retired in 1972 after 23 years of service. Upon his retirement he went on to work at National Pharmacy in Lorain for many years.
He was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Lorain. He enjoyed playing cards and bowling. He was always feeding stray animals and would even build bird houses and homes for all the stray animals that seemed to come to his home.
Francisco is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances (nee Clark); his daughter, Alece Deichler, of Lorain; grandchildren, Francisco (Kay) Deichler, of Lorain and Frances Encalado, of San Diego, CA; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Francisco, Cierra, Thalia and Hannah.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers and sisters.
The Tovalin family will receive friends on Thursday, January 29, 2015 from 10:00 – 11:00 a,m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 1305 E. Erie Ave., Lorain where Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Fr. Richard Hudak, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
