Frank Huszti's Obituary
Frank J. Huszti, 63, of Amherst, entered eternal life on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at New Life Hospice Center of St. Joseph, Lorain following a lengthy illness.
Born Feb. 17, 1949 in Lorain, he lived in Sheffield Village before moving to Amherst in 1990. He was a 1967 graduate of Brookside High School and received an associate's degree in computer programming from Lorain County Community College.
For the last 35 years, Frank worked as a Senior Programming Analyst for Sherwin Williams, Cleveland.
He was a member of Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, Parma, the Knights of St. John #281 of Lorain, and the Catholic Def Association. He enjoyed bowling and watching the Cleveland Browns. Frank was diehard New York Yankees fan and loved his pets.
Surviving is his wife, Jo-Ann (nee Iammarino); a daughter, Julia (Derrick) Bachtell of Medina Co.; sons, Michael of Amherst and Nicholas of Elyria; a granddaughter, Cheyanne; his brother, Rev. Fr. Michael Huszti of Mount St. Macrina, Uniontown, PA..
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mike and Julia (Koves) Huszti.
The Huszti family will receive friends on Sunday, January 20, 2013 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, with parastas service at 7:00 pm. The family will also receive friends on Monday from 9:30 am until the time of Liturgy at 10:00 am at Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church, 5500 W. 54th St., Parma. Rev. Fr. Michael Huszti will officiate and Rev. Fr. James Batcha will concelebrate. Burial will follow in Holy Spirit Cemetery, Parma.
