Frankie L. Warner's Obituary
Frankie L. Warner, age 76, of LaGrange, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Mercy New Life Hospice Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born on September 25, 1946 in Century, West Virginia to Frankie and Betty Lou (nee Taylor) Warner. Upon his graduation from high school, he enlisted with the United States Air Force on July 25, 1966. He served in the Air Force for four years and was honorably discharged on May 7, 1970, at the rank of A1G.
After leaving the military, Frankie began a career in construction, working alongside his father and brothers. He operated heavy equipment and eventually became a foreman, overseeing various construction projects. He worked in the construction industry for over 50 years, officially retiring in 2019.
Frankie had a variety of interests outside of work, including fishing, collecting various items, and visiting flea markets and garage sales. Frankie loved and adored his late wife, Rhonda, they shared many memorable moments in their relationship, traveling, shopping, dressing up and dining out. He shared a special bond with his cat, “Precious”, that he and his wife shared together.
He is survived by his children, Clayton (Erica) Warner, of Lorain, Samantha (Jonathan) Lacroix, of Seffner, Florida, and Francesca (Justin) Matson, of Van Lear, Kentucky; and 5 grandchildren.
Frankie was preceded in death by his wife, Rhonda, in 2022; son, Dustin Warner; parents, Frankie and Betty Lou Warner; and brothers, Lonny and Johnny Warner.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 21, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon. at St. Peter Catholic Church, 3655 Oberlin Ave., Lorain, OH 44053.Mass of Christian Burial will follow the visitation at 12:00 p.m. in the Church. Rev. Father Craig Hovanec, Pastor, will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, Lorain.
