Gene H. Saegert's Obituary
Gene H. Saegert, age 74, of Lorain, passed away on Monday, January 13, 2014 at his home while under the care of New Life Hospice.
A lifelong resident of Lorain, he was born on November 16, 1939 to the late Carl and Florence (nee White) Saegert.
Gene worked as a behr tender at Ford Motor Company for 46 years in the Lorain and Avon Lake plants. He retired in 2002.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and boating.
He is survived by his wife, Tonya (nee Wade); his daughters, Lyn (Mike Abner) Saegert, of Lorain, Denise (Frank) Nimon, of North Ridgeville, Debbie (Lew) SanFelice, of Summerville, SC, Cherie (Javier Caballero) Saegert, of Sanford, FL, and Ashley (Elvy) Robles (nee Wade); 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Jim (Goldie) Saegert, and Dale (Gerri) Saegert, both of Lorain.
Besides his parents, Gene was preceded in death by his brothers, Carl and Edwin and his sister, Carol Ann.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 16, 2014 from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
