George Pasterak's Obituary
George Pasterak, age 88, of Lorain passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Amherst Manor Nursing Home. He was born in Cleveland, Ohio on May 13, 1932 to John and Anna Pasterak.
He was a graduate of Lorain High School. George served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He retired from American Crucible as machinist after working for them for over 40 years.
George was a member of the AMVETS Post 47, the VFW Post 451, and the Amherst Sportsman Club. He enjoyed fishing, gardening. And taking casino trips.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosann (nee Homolya); children, George Pasterak, Nancy (Tom) Longstreth, and David Pasterak; grandchildren, George Pasterak III, Jessica (Glenn) Willard, and Jeffrey Longstreth; and his great-grandson, Logan Willard.
George was preceded in death by parents, John and Anna Pasterak; and his brothers, John and Ralph Pasterak.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 12, 2021 from 9:00 – 11:00 a.m. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral center immediately following the visitation. Rev. Father Craig Hovanec will officiate. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Lorain.
