George Suprun's Obituary
George Suprun, age 77, passed away on Sunday May 28, 2017, following a lengthy illness, at Mercy Regional Health Center, Lorain, while surrounded by family.
George was born December 10th 1939, in Ukraine and after coming to the United States he lived in Lorain his entire life. He was a 1959- A graduate of Lorain High School and was a member of the Bachelors Club and Masonic Lodge. He belonged to St. Mary's Ukrainian Orthodox Parish and was a strong believer in his faith.
George was employed at Lorain Products for over forty years and retired in 2001. His hobbies
were working on his cars and motorcycles, traveling, dancing, fishing, and just enjoying life. He
was always fun to be around and his smile was contagious. He loved his time with family and
friends, especially his grandchildren: Nathaniel, Gabrielle, and Nela, who he was very proud of.
Survivors include his daughter, Tami (Jim) Brock, of Lorain, sons: Michael (Lisa) Suprun, of Lorain, and Greg (Michaela) Suprun,of North Ridgeville, his three grandchildren, and his longtime partner, Shirley Price of Lorain.
He was preceded in death by his brother Boris Suprun, parents Wasyl and Stefanida Suprun, his wife Audrey Suprun,
Services will be held on Friday, June 2, from 4 to 7 pm, in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where a Parastas will be held at 6:30 pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, at 10:00 am, at St. Mary Ukrainian Orthodox Church (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH), 2304 E. 34th Street, Lorain, OH , Rev. Fr. Dimitri Belenki, Pastor will officiate. Burial will follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park, Amherst.
